Coke is a fuel obtained by industrial heating of hard coal at a temperature of 600-1200 ° C in a specially constructed coke oven with flue gases (without access to oxygen). It is a fuel with a higher calorific value than ordinary coal, as it contains at least 90-95% of pure carbon element, with the use of special types of coal and appropriate technology, it is possible to obtain purity of up to 98%.

1)Coke is divided into metallurgical coke (including blast furnace coke, cast coke and ferroalloy coke, etc.), gasification coke and calcium carbide coke, etc.Metallurgical coke is a purified carbon material manufactured by the dry distillation of coal. Dry distillation refers to heating the coal at about
1,200ºC in the absence of air until volatile components of its coal are driven off and decomposed into coke, gas, coal tar, and so forth.
