Metallurgical coke commonly known as Met coke, Metallurgical coke is a high-quality, tough and resilient-wearing carbon with applications ranging from conductive flooring, ceramic packing media, friction and anti-corrosion materials, to foundry coating and carbon raisers. Manufactured through the destructive distillation of various blends of bituminous coal, where kilns are used to release volatile components including coal, tar, ammonia, and dozens of other products of decomposition, met coke is a non-melting carbon.
Typical purity varies between 88-92% fixed carbon, and commercial grades in sizes from 30-micron powders up to 20 centimeter lumps. Our team of experts will make it easy to source the right quality products and deliver seamlessly.
